Overview
This supplier makes 30 versions of hotel amenity kits from a shared pool of parts, so one missing component can affect several contracts at once. A readiness dashboard now shows, for each client, whether the next order can be filled and what needs to be made or bought.
Pain points
- A single low component could hold up several contracts.
- Stock that looked available had often already been promised to another order.
- Stock was managed from memory, Excel and phone calls to the store.
What we built
- 01
Readiness dashboard
For each client: whether the next order can be filled, how short it is if not, and which material is holding it up.
- 02
What we can make today
Only counts raw material that hasn't already been allocated to another order.
- 03
Make or buy
Tells the team what to produce or purchase to get each client back to ready, and forecasts each client's next order.
- 04
Stock entry on a phone
The store, production and dispatch teams log movements from a phone screen with large buttons. Kit recipes deduct materials automatically.
